About Me
I’m a wife and mother to 3 children. At a young age, I realized I wanted to be in healthcare and that I really enjoyed working with babies. After graduating High school, I went on to get hired at Seton Medical Center Austin in the Mother/Baby unit as a patient care tech. I spent the next 20 years taking care of families and educating them on their newborns. I’ve discovered that babies are my passion and I’ve learned to anticipate what babies and parents need to help make their transition into a new family go smoothly.
I used my experience from the hospital, and being a private nanny of 19 years, became a full spectrum doula, and newborn care specialist. I love what I do and I continue my education to improve my skills as a certified newborn care specialist & doula. Over the years, I specialized in taking care of twins and triplets. Taking care of multiples is exciting and rewarding. It sharpened my patience, time management and prioritizing skills. I have breastfeeding knowledge and can educate or help you with breastfeeding and pumping. My certifications include birth, postpartum, perinatal loss bereavement doula, baby advanced sleep trainer, CPR/first aid, newborn care specialist, lactation counselor, placenta encapsulation and infant massage. Infant massage is essential as it helps with gas, colic, constipation, muscle tension and cramps. It also relaxes the baby and encourages better sleep.
I really do enjoy working with amazing families and making a difference in such an important and precious moment in their lives. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve your family.
